Your Data
This page explains, in plain language, what data Insyt holds about you, how to get a copy of it, how to delete it, and how to cut off our access to your Google accounts. For the full legal detail, see our Privacy Policy and GDPR page.
What we hold
If you use Insyt, we typically hold:
- Your account details: name, email, company name (if any), and sign-in credentials.
- Your connected account data: the campaign, tracking and performance data we read from your Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts to run your audits.
- Your audit history: the audits we have generated, the issues found, the recommendations made, and the fixes you approved.
- Billing records: your invoices and payment history from Stripe. We never hold your full card number.
- Support emails you have exchanged with us.
Getting a copy of your data (export)
Email hello@tryinsyt.com from your account email with the subject "Data export". We will send you a copy of your account data and audit history in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV) within 30 days, and usually much sooner. There is no charge for this.
Deleting your data
Email hello@tryinsyt.com from your account email with the subject "Delete my data", or close your account from your settings. We will:
- Confirm your request and verify it is really you.
- Disconnect your Google accounts and delete the stored access credentials.
- Delete your account data, connected account data, and audit history from our systems, including our database backups on their normal rotation cycle.
- Ask our service providers to delete any copies they hold for us.
- Confirm to you by email when it is done.
Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request.
What deletion covers, and what we must keep
Deletion covers everything listed under "What we hold" above, with one exception: we are legally required to keep billing and tax records (invoices, payment records, and the basic identifying details on them) for as long as UAE tax and accounting law requires, which is typically five years. These records are kept locked down, used for nothing else, and deleted when the retention period ends. We may also keep a minimal suppression record (your email address only) if you have asked us never to email you again, so that we honor that request.
Disconnecting Google without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to cut off our access to a Google account. You can:
- Disconnect from inside Insyt: go to Settings, then Connected Accounts, and disconnect any account. We stop accessing it immediately and delete its stored data within 30 days.
- Revoke access from Google's side: go to your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions, find Insyt in the list of third-party apps, and remove its access. This cuts off our access immediately. If you revoke access this way, please also email us or disconnect in the app so we know to delete the stored data.
Backups
Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period until those backups rotate out, after which it is gone permanently. Backups are never used to restore data you asked us to delete.
